QUIET GEOMETRY, WORKS ON PAPER @ BLUE BROWN CAFE
OCTOBER 9, 2026 - DECEMBER 30, 2026
45 HAVEMEYER St. BROOKLYN, NY.

Quiet Geometry marks my return to drawing by hand. For me, drawing trees is a deeply meditative experience. Each fine line acts like a rhythmic count that helps my mind slow down. I’m in awe of trees for their stately presence and organic forms. They are quiet symbols of resilience, able to persist through time and harsh conditions. Observation of the line is at the heart of these compositional studies. I love an interesting line with character, one with turns, knots, and unexpected bends. I HOPE YOU ENJOY!

My Process

Some favorite tools. Daler-Rowney silver ink, Copic markers, Micron 005, Tombow Eraser Pen and more…

I like to make my own swatches like loose Pantone chips to test color, and mix and match palettes.

My go-to for years for transferring sketch images to paper, Saral blue transfer paper. They make other colors, too which is great for different colored background surfaces.
